The Whippet Health Foundation will be conducting health clinics in conjunction with the 2025 AWC National Specialty. OFA Eye Certification (CAER), BAER testing and Echocardiogram clinics will be held as well as microchipping service. The Whippet Health Foundation will be subsidizing a portion of the per dog cost for eye, hearing and heart testing for those dogs participating in the WHF database.

All test results subsidized by and released to the WHF Database will be public record. It is up to YOU to enter your dog into the WHF database and to provide us with a copy of the test results.

This clinic will be conducted by Dr. Terah Webb, DVM, ACVO. Results can be sent to the Companion Animal Eye Registry (CAER) managed by OFA. This test fulfills the AWC Futurity requirement. Appointments will be pre-booked. The cost is $20 per dog. Online OFA forms will be available for this clinic, and we ask that all dogs have an online form filled out prior to the clinic.

This clinic will be conducted by Dr. Susanne Hughes. Appointments will be pre-booked. The cost is $65 per dog for confidential results, $35 for public results submitted to WHF database.

This clinic will be conducted by Dr. Heidi Kellihan from the UW Madison. She will be performing OFA ACA echocardiogram clearance examinations. All exams will take 15 to 20 minutes. You may sign up as many Whippets as you want, there is no limit. Appointments will be pre-booked. The cost of the exam is $275 for confidential results, $225 for public results submitted to WHF database.

$35 per dog. This service will be done by Dr. Hughes and will include an AKC ISO Chip as well as the registration. Dr. Hughes will schedule a time with you after your health clinic registration is received.
